A1 accepts payments with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies

The company announced in a press release on Monday (July 27, 2020) that A1 Payment now also accepts cryptocurrencies for cashless payments. With the inclusion of cryptocurrencies in the A1 payment platform, companies can be offered more alternatives for carrying out payment transactions. The previous solutions of the A1 payment platform made it possible for users to carry out payment transactions with common credit cards as well as with online operators such as the Chinese company Alipay. By adding cryptos like Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) and Dash (DASH), users can now make crypto payments in over 2,500 stores in Austria.

An extract from the publication reads:

“With A1 Payment, companies across Austria benefit from digitization and the growing acceptance of digital currencies. Companies with only one terminal now have the option of accepting these currencies in addition to the conventional payment methods and are therefore ideally equipped for the diverse needs of their customers. “
